Thank you for your interest in being a host captain, a.k.a. "Admirable Admiral," for Sailing Heals! Please complete the following information. After we've reviewed your application, we'll get back to you as soon as possible with a confirmation of your participation, along with proposed next steps.

Please note that for the safety and comfort of our guests, we expect that all boats are in excellent condition, and equipped with appropriate numbers of life jackets, etc., captains are fully insured and boats be at least 36' in length.

* Important Notes:

  • Sailing Heals insists that all children be 8 years or older and be accompanied by a legal guardian/parent.
  • All passengers sign a waiver assuming all and any risks that could be associated with the sail.
  • We strive to give all guests at least 1 week notice when confirming a sail and also offer a rain date if the weather conditions are not expected to be desirable.

* By submitting this online form below, I understand the requirements stated here and I agree to volunteer as a Host Captain for Sailing Heals. As the Captain/Owner of my boat I assume all responsibility for myself, my crew and my boat and would at no time hold parties from Sailing Heals, Inc., sponsored companies, health care organizations, the media, nor patient guests, responsible for any event on my boat while it is under my command.

I understand that Sailing Heals, Inc. nor any of its staff or volunteers, ever discriminate on the basis of age, race, religion or gender. Where safety matters are concerned, the Captain does, however, have the final say on who may be allowed to take part under his/her stewardship, in healing sails.
